10 Tips for Hosting any 'Summer Party'
1. Honor our Vets with a Toast. Raise a glass with your guests to toast their dedication to our country along with their health, protection, and safe return soon!
2. Make sure to pack enough beverages. From water to soft drinks and beer, there's never enough in the summer. Outdoor activities work up a strong thrist.
3. Always have plenty of ice. You can never have enough. Save that extra trip back.
4. Keep it light. Use as many fresh, seasonal ingredients in your menu as possible. Opt or salads and grilled food.
5. Remind friends to dress casual. Summer is about letting loose and kicking off your shoes.
6. Provide shelter from heat. Especially during daytime events. Possibly rent a tent or place your seating under shady trees, use tables with umbrellas.
7. Remember food safety. Always keep cold food cold, and hot food hot. You don't want a stomach disaster if food isn't served under correct conditions.
8. Serve something FUN for dessert! Use your imagination. Have ice cream sundaes and cookies. Guests love to make their own.
9. Keep those mosquitoes away. Make proper arrangements for ample light and mosquito repellents. Lanterns can be hung from trees or use tiki torches to create a pleasant mood.
10. Provide personal conveniences your guests may have forgotten. Offer guests sunscreen, bug spray, flip flops, towels, even hand sanitizers if you're partying away from home.
